Documents are elements that, in the case of Roma and Sinti people, were often written by those who observed them, often with contempt, and who were their persecutors. They accurately report locations, discriminatory actions or physical elimination and prejudice. Then there are other documents, with which the majority society is less familiar, which are family writings, songs, poems, books, art forms. The latter are also documents through which Sinti and Roma people have expressed their thoughts, their outlook, and their testimony to these events. Both of these forms of document, intertwined with each other, bring history into the light of knowledge.
